Ruqyah is the action of reciting the Quran and Du’a (supplications) in order to seek cure from Allah for any illnesses of the mind, body and soul. Here at Ruqyah Center we take a holistic approach to ruqyah. We believe that ruqyah, as a form of therapy, should be sought together with any ongoing medical treatment. Alongside ruqyah we provide alternative Islamic counseling.
Through ruqyah our ruq’aat (practitioners) apply several procedures and approaches including cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal and talking therapy — that help individuals work through their problems.
This is a collaborative treatment based on the relationship between an individual and the raaqi (practioner). Grounded in mutual dialogue, it provides a supportive environment that allows you to talk openly with someone whose objective, neutral and non-judgmental. We will work together to identify and change the thought and behavior patterns that are keeping you from feeling your best.
By the end of a session, we aim to have identified the symptoms and their possible causes and equip you whith understanding, techniques and treatments to help you cope better with whatever challenges arise in the future.
Seeking Ruqyah from others should not be the first call. We prefer that peole self treat first by establishing their salah, reciting qur’an, implementing the various adhkar (zikr) in order to heal and protect themselves. We can gladly advise you about this.
Ruqyah Centre was established in 2007 with the intention of serving the needs of the Muslim community. Our aim is to advise, counsel and provide the prophetic treatment known as “ruqyah”.
